Live it Out!
Thanks to the 40 students who participated in our Live it Out! Service project on Sunday! You all were awesome. With your help, we packed over 100 hygiene packs for homeless youth in our community. Way to go!
Live it Out! Is great and awesome, but we are called to serve all the time where we see need, not just once a month. We should all take a lesson from our own Carly Leftwich. Carly visited the Winter Park Day Nursery and saw that some of the kids were going hungry because the Nursery’s pantry was running low. So Carly took action. She is organizing a canned food drive to help the kids in need influenced by the nursery. With our help, we can make a huge difference in the lives of these kids. So raid those pantries and bring in non-perishable items over the next three weeks at ELEVATE. Let make a goal of 250 food items. Thanks Carly for being such an awesome example of answering God’s call to serve!
Encounter
Encounter is almost here! Registration is open for our biggest retreat of the year. March 2-4 we will be heading to Warren Willis Camp in Leesburg for a weekend of renewal, inspiration, and fellowship. Derrick Scott III, director of Campus to City Ministries in Jacksonville will be our guest speaker. In addition to a great message, we will have amazing worship, great fellowship, lots of it me for fun and relaxation and much more. Calling All Artists
Are you artistic or simply just love art? Then we invite you to participate in the church-wide Artistic Expressions. During the entire Lenten season, our church will be displaying pieces of art from members of the church. We are asking for work in almost any medium (painting, photography, sculpture, sketches, videos, etc.) that answers the question “Where do you see Jesus?” Let your inner artist shine! Works must be turned in by March 10. Email any questions or submissions to David at .
Warren Willis Summer Camp
This summer, Children’s and Student Ministries from our church will be teaming up and going to Warren Willis Camp in Leesburg together. Summer Camp at Warren Willis invites us to “experience a high-energy, life-changing week where you have the opportunity to grow in your relationships with others, with God, and with the world.” FUMCWP will be attending camp the week of June 25th-30th.
